MHZ DPX24 Bat Boat

After a while i found my B24 on a model show in Dortmund (Germany), where i decided to build my own B24 just a little bigger than my dad's. Luckily my friend Pete wanted me to help with this project to make it something special, something never had been done before here in the Netherlands.

Manufacturer: MHZ
Name: DPX24
LxBxH: 109x34,2cm
Weight:
Owner: Peter van Leeuwen
Motor: Graupner Ultra 3500-6M
Speed Controller: Schulze mcc1010-80ro
(10/32 ni-cd cells 450/80/70A)
Batteries: 2x 15 1700mah by Sanyo
Prop:
Hopup's: Complete setup of MTC and an homemade water pickup by Peter.

Together with my friend Peter we started to build this boat.
First we made a plate in the rear of the hull, for extra stength.
Later on we placed all the hardware on, so we could start with making the motor plate.

Here you see my B24 after everything was built in.

Here you see the motor with a part of the 2x 15 cells battery packs. Behind the motor we placed the speedcontroller above.
A view from the inside. From 4mm tripex wood we made the plates where the accu cells must come on.
The rest of the hardware.
A home made watercooling pickup,
the rudder and the strutt of MTC
Lateron we also place some trimtaps of Graupner.

The time has come to make the first test runs.

It really flies over the water.

With full throttle it comes in plane.

Below you see some more action pictures i took when Peter was running the boat.
(you can enlarge the pictures by clicking on them)

More info coming soon.
